J&R SCHUGEL SHOWS SUPPORT DURING MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH!

To support Mental Health Awareness Month in May, J&R Schugel Trucking wraps a Kenworth T680 semi-truck to support the cause and promote awareness.

“We are living in unprecedented times and many are facing challenges that can be stressful, overwhelming and emotionally draining” says, Dan Denhof President/CEO. J&R Schugel chose to wrap a truck surrounding a topic that has had an impact on so many individuals and their families.

“This is our third truck wrap and it was inspired by the unique times we have all experienced over the last year and most importantly brought the topic of mental health awareness to all of us at Schugel. At J&R Schugel Trucking, our employees want to encourage those who are dealing with mental health issues and help reduce the stigma that may be associated with seeking help,” Denhof adds.

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, research shows that mental illnesses are common in the United States, affecting tens of millions of people each year and these numbers have only grown due to the COVID19 pandemic.

J&R Schugel plans to assign the unit to one of their professional truck drivers in the near future. If you or someone you know is in crisis, there are national hotlines available: The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255, Crisis Text Line can be reached by texting NAMI to 741-741 or The National Domestic Violence Hotline can be reached at 800-799-7233. Remember, you are not alone.

Roehl Transport Announces Second Driver Pay Increase of 2021

April 26, 2021 (Marshfield, WI) — Roehl Transport will increase truck driver pay for a second time this year. These increases will add between $4,000 – $6,000 or more to most company drivers’ annual pay. The pay increases will be effective May 24th and apply to company drivers in Roehl’s Refrigerated, Flatbed, Van, Curtainside, and Dedicated Divisions.

Because we’ve been adding driving teammates and winning new lanes from customers, we’re able increase our driving teammates’ pay,” said CEO Rick Roehl. “Our drivers are leaders in pay, productivity and safety, and our second increase in compensation reflects our commitment to Driver Success.”

Roehl’s Accident-Free Pay increase was effective in February. At that time, the company also announced a significant increase in home daily trucking jobs. Unlike most local trucking jobs, Roehl’s home daily jobs offer regional pay plans so Roehl drivers get a great combination of more pay and more home time.

The company is also increasing owner operator and lease operator compensation. On top of an excellent sliding mileage compensation package, owner operators and lease operators who partner with Roehl get B.O.S.S. benefits that include business advisors, a top fuel surcharge program as well as additional support.

As one of North America’s largest, safest and most successful trucking companies, Roehl Transport provides flawless transportation services to customers across the United States. The company employs experienced truck drivers and offers paid CDL training for people who want to be truck drivers with a variety of fleet and home time options such as national, regional and dedicated positions. More than half of Roehl drivers are home at least every week. The company also offers a lease purchase program for those who want to own their own trucking business.

Effective May 2nd, 2021, this pay increase will focus on ensuring that every over the road driver in the team fleet has a strong compensation package that grows quickly to match their experience and expertise. Experienced drivers can expect to earn $.60 CPM or more, and can quickly grow these earnings to $.85 CPM.  In addition, new CDL holders will earn four increases within their first year, aggressively growing their base earnings by over 60% during this time, with eligibility to more than double their earnings after the first year.

Our drivers make us a leader in transportation and logistics, and they should get paid what they deserve.” said CRST’s President & CEO Hugh Ekberg.

In addition to this significant driver pay increase, the CRST team over the road division continues to make program changes to increase driver career satisfaction.  In 2020, they announced weekly home time opportunities, which are now available in 25 major markets across the US.  The Health Sciences over the road fleet, known for their special handling of life saving medicines and the COVID vaccine, recently announced a pay increase that brings earning potential beyond $.80 CPM.
